Christmas Eve

Today I am grateful for the opportunity to celebrate with the world the birth of Christ. This more than anything is our greatest gift. Especially this year, with the economy crashing. The lush life that I am accustom to is slowly dissolving, yet I have peace. This is because I know my Savior, I know he lives. I know he knows me, I know he loves me. He loves us all.

Happy Thanksgiving

What a great Thanksgiving. Mostly because it was Swet Pea's 15th birthday. I can't beleive it. She is a great kid, with so many wonderful attributes. It was also my mom's birthday today. I hope I can go up to be just like her. The food and weather were fantastic as well.

Perfectly Precoius, Pilgrims!

But wait there are more to add to the list; George Soule, Frances Cooke, Henry Sampson.

I am really grateful to these families and individuals who sacrificed so much. I glean strength from their examples and I love to know that they are there on the other side as my kindred, wow!
I have been working on SugarBear's family for a few years and have been frustrated in my efforts. It seems futile but....I know that there are those of his kindred who seek to be known. Hopefully I can tune in enough to figure it out.

Mayflower

I started reading "Mayflower" this week and am so amazed by the story of those who came across the sea in 1620. I am even more amazed to find that I am a direct descendant of 9 passengers on the Mayflower:

John Alden

William Mullins

Alice Mullins

Priscilla Mullins

John Tilley

Joan Tilley

Elizabeth Tilley

John Howland

Peter Brown

Happy to be here!

This is my attempt to keep a journal...wish me luck. No, really.

We here in the Morris house hold have challenged ourselves to, among other things, keep a journal. We have called this venture "The Morris Miracle".
The goal is to record the miracles that take place when we make a true effort to live and love each other.
Here are our daily goals:
Morning Prayer
Scripture Study
Good Turn
Write in our journals
Evening Prayer
Followed by our weekly goals:
Pay Tithing
Pay Fast Offerings
Attend the Temple
Attend our Meetings
Family Home Evening
Some of my personal goals are:
Keep a budget
Exercise daily
Smile
Laugh daily

Does this count as a journal???

Sure hope so.

We made a challenge as a family to keep a journal....so here I am!
